Alethea Wilson

Alethea Wilson is a Director at Merck Research Laboratories in the Global Clinical Trial Operations, Risk Evaluation, and Adaptive Integrated Monitoring organization. In her current role, Alethea is a Risk-Based Quality Management Champion as a Risk and Analytics Lead, which allows her to foster her commitment to ensuring the output of consistent, accurate, and high-quality data from clinical trials. Alethea has an extensive background in Clinical Quality Assurance and Quality Management spanning 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Before Alethea joined Merck, her career spanned both small and large pharma including varying roles where she has provided strategic direction and execution oversight for Quality Assurance and Risk Assessment activities. Alethea also has provided oversight and management of inspection readiness and preparation activities. Alethea holds degrees in both Biology and Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Law & Compliance. She is also a certified Risk-Based Quality Management Green Belt. When Alethea is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and two bonus sons somewhere outdoors.
