Michael Tyson

Michael Tyson spent much of his career in the financial and non-profit sectors. His nine-year path as CEO and President at NEW was successful in improving the impact and performance of fellow nonprofits by working alongside leaders to create strategic solutions. Prior to NEW, Mike was CEO of Residential Detroit, Inc.for 12 years and, after furthering his education, spent 20 years of demonstrated success with J.P. Morgan Chase. Past Board positions include the Detroit Advisory Board of Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, The Jewish Fund, Loyola High School, The Parade Company, and Detroit Symphony Orchestra. He currently serves with: Detroit Economic Growth Corporation & Detroit Economic Growth Association (Treasurer & Finance Committee), Brilliant Detroit (Chair & Finance Committee) and ISAIC (Treasurer & Finance Committee Chair).
