James L. Bellinson, is the Managing Member and founder of Riverstone Communities. In 2012, Jim co-founded Peas and Carrots Hospitality LLC, a restaurant holding company that currently owns restaurants in Michigan and Chicago. In 2007, Jim became an organizer and board member of Level One Bancorp, Inc, which was sold to First Merchants Bank in 2022. Jim served as President and COO of Arcadia Services, Inc. Jim co-founded Riverstone Growth Partners, a private equity group and serves on the Investment Committee of Maxim Partners in Chicago. In 2015, Jim Co-founded Brilliant Detroit. Jim is active in several other philanthropic organizations in the area, including the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and The Jewish Fund. Jim graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Economics. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego, College of Law, and became a bar-certified attorney in the State of Michigan.
