Just east of historic Woodward Avenue, the Grixdale Farms neighborhood is not only defined by its charming homes, but by its beloved Palmer Park. For over 125 years, the park has served as a space for residents to meet, host events, and immerse themselves in nature. It is one of only seven ancient woodlands in the City of Detroit and continues to be sustained through initiatives such as People for Palmer Park and Detroit Parks Coalition. Established in early 2024, the Grixdale Farms Neighborhood Association was formed by dedicated neighbors who saw the need for a united voice within their community. The result is a neighborhood full of opportunities and excitement for its residents, and Brilliant Detroit is thrilled to be a part of its journey. From art fairs and farmer’s markets, to athletic clubs and educational youth programs, Grixdale Farms has something for everyone.
