One of Detroit’s largest parks, at 78 acres, O’Hair Park provides the residents of its namesake neighborhood with a beautiful greenspace, sports facilities, nature and walking trails, and places for gathering and fellowship. With the park at the center, the O’Hair Park is defined by its boundaries of Southfield Freeway, 8 Mile, 7 Mile and Evergreen Road. Residents in the neighborhood have worked hard to revitalize the park during challenging times. Today it shines as one of the most beautiful and used parks in the city. The O’Hair Park Community Association, founded in 2012 is to thank for helping this neighborhood thrive. They are also to thank for bringing Brilliant Detroit to the neighborhood and helping us find the perfect location for our hub, just down the street from O'Hair Park itself.
