White-Perkins, Denise – M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Denise White-Perkins is a family medicine specialist in Detroit with more than 29 years in the medical field. She is a native Detroiter who has devoted her career as a family physician, medical educator, researcher, and health system leader to serving and advocating for our diverse, urban, underserved community. Her research and quality improvement work focuses on addressing SDoH in chronic disease management, hypertension in African American men, and improving the delivery of virtual care for older adults. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and has worked at Henry Ford Health System since 2003 when she joined as a Senior Staff Physician. She has also spent 14 years associated with Wayne State University School of Medicine as a Clinical Associate Professor and Curriculum Specialist.
