| DESCRIP: | Culturally Ours is an educational program designed to connect Detroit’s young learners with the rich histories of influential figures from around the world — and from their own communities. Through engaging, hands-on lessons, students explore how culture, history, and identity shape our shared environment. By weaving Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) into Social Studies, the program ensures every student can meaningfully engage, reflect, and see themselves represented in the stories that built both Detroit and the wider world. |
